Otherwise, to complete your membership application on this website, we will need to contact you via an e-mail address. If you do not have an e-mail address, then please download and fill in our Membership Application Form instead of continuing with this online application.
Our latest membership year runs from September 2025 to August 2026. However, if you apply to join from 1st May 2025 onwards, your membership will continue until August 2026. There are two levels of Membership : Full and Discounted.
The Full Membership fee is £40 and you may join any number of Groups which have vacancies available. The Discounted Membership fee is £15 - however, you will only be able to join Groups which do not use venues paid for by Congleton u3a and which are listed as Discounted Groups (click to view the list). You are very welcome to join other Groups at a later date. You will then be contacted by the Membership Secretary to pay the additional fee of £25 for the organisation to cover venue fees, and your records will be changed to Full Membership after payment.
During June and July, Group details are updated ready for our online Registration Day (19th August 2025). If you are already within a Group, your details may be rolled forward by the Group Leader.

We treat the privacy of all details you give us very seriously, and our Privacy Policy sets out how we will deal with your ‘personal information’, that is, information that could identify, or is related to the identity of, you as an individual.
After selecting 'I Agree', you will be taken to our Application Form. Some help with completing the various pieces of required information can be viewed by clicking on this link. This will be displayed in a new browser tab so you can refer to it while completing the form.
After completing the Application Form on the next page, you will be offered the facility to pay your membership subscription by credit or debit card. If you wish to pay by card, please have the card (or its details) to hand NOW, so that the system does not "time-out" while you go looking for it, and lose all of your entered details - requiring you to enter them all again.
If you do not wish to pay by credit or debit card, simply click the 'Pay Later (not by card)' button at the end of the Application Form and wait to receive an e-mail conformation of your application from the Membership Secretary. This will include instructions on how to pay by sending a cheque to the Membership Secretary.
