Group Description :
The group members enjoy walking with like minded people, who enjoy socialising and the countryside and all it has to offer. You will need to be properly equipped to walk in all weathers and conditions. The group undertakes walks of an Intermediate Standard between 5 to 7 miles (but not exceeding 8 miles) in varied terrain, with packed lunches throughout the year. The walks are mainly in Cheshire, the Peak District and Staffordshire, going further afield in the summer. All group members are expected to lead walks either as an individual or in partnership. Details are sent out by email, weekly in advance, confirming walk starting-point, grade and the meeting time. Members of the group are encouraged to be as green as possible by sharing lifts where appropriate. Please note well behaved dogs may be allowed at the Group Leader's discretion. The group currently implements an existing membership policy for those members who have fully participated throughout the year.
