Group Description :
We meet once a month, mainly the last Monday unless a Bank Holiday dictates an earlier Monday. Please see the meeting dates. We discuss a book chosen by group members and members also recommend other books that they have read recently - often lending books to each other. The meetings are very informal, and although we like an occasional challenge there is no intellectual pressure. We've recently read books by Graeme Macrae Burnet, Nevil Shute, Helen Dunmore, Anthony Doerr, Robert Harris and Georgy Gospodinov, and forthcoming authors include Mick Herron, Florence Knapp, George Orwell and Kristin Hannah. We like to choose from a wide variety of genres. Existing members are re-enrolled unless they request otherwise. There may be places free for new joiners.
