Group Description :
We meet once a month, mainly the last Monday unless a Bank Holiday dictates an earlier Monday. Please see the meeting dates. We discuss a book chosen by group members and members also recommend other books that they have read recently - often lending books to each other. The meetings are very informal, and although we like an occasional challenge there is no intellectual pressure. Authors we've read in the 25/26 session include Graeme Macrae Burnet, Nevil Shute, Helen Dunmore, Anthony Doerr, Robert Harris, Georgy Gospodinov, Mick Herron, Florence Knapp, George Orwell and Kristin Hannah. We like to choose from a wide variety of genres. Existing members are re-enrolled unless they request otherwise. There may be places free for new joiners.
