Group Details For Walking (Wednesday 1) 24/25 DISC

The WW1 Group walks each and every Wednesday throughout the year (subject to weather and Leader availability) - except for Christmas & Boxing Day!

Walks of THREE to FIVE miles or so at an easy pace (with only gentle hills and not too many stiles) in Cheshire, Staffordshire and the Peak District, finishing with a Pub Lunch (Covid-permitting) 
In summer, slightly longer walks with a picnic lunch.

(If you'd prefer walks of a longer distance, try our companion WW1extra group. And, if you still aren't sure which group would be best for you, we do allow you to be a member of both groups - and choose whichever walk suits you best)

Walk details are emailed the weekend before, confirming start point, grade of walk and meeting time
Meet to share cars&costs (Covid-permitting) or travel directly to the start of the walk.

Waterproof Jacket and Trousers are essential, as are reasonable walking boots/shoes.
Walking Poles are useful on uneven ground.

Our walks occasionally require crossing fields with horses and cattle and we do not allow dogs

We encourage all Group Members to lead a small number of walks
